Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Freeze-dried Human Rabies Vaccine (Vero cell) is an inactivated viral vaccine developed and marketed by AIM Vaccine Co., Ltd. (through its subsidiary AIM Honesty). Produced by cultivating the rabies virus in Vero cells followed by inactivation and lyophilization, the vaccine is designed to elicit neutralizing antibodies that prevent rabies virus infection. It is indicated for both pre-exposure prophylaxis in high-risk individuals (such as veterinarians and laboratory workers) and post-exposure prophylaxis following potential exposure to the virus through animal bites or scratches. The product has a significant market presence in China, maintaining a consistent record of quality control and batch release approval for over seventeen consecutive years.
