Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Frekavit is a brand of intravenous multivitamin preparations manufactured by Fresenius Kabi, designed to meet the daily requirements of essential vitamins in patients receiving parenteral nutrition. It is available in two distinct formulations: Frekavit fettlöslich (containing fat-soluble vitamins A, D2, E, and K1) and Frekavit wasserlöslich Novum (containing water-soluble vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, B9, B12, and C). In clinical settings, such as the PANUSCO trial conducted by the University of Heidelberg, Frekavit has been evaluated as part of a supplemental parenteral nutrition regimen alongside chemotherapy (such as the OFF regimen) to support nutritional status and quality of life in patients with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
