Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fructus Rosa roxburghii juice (FRR juice) is a natural dietary supplement and botanical extract derived from the fruit of *Rosa roxburghii* Tratt, a plant native to southwestern China. Rich in polysaccharides, polyphenols, and vitamin C, FRR juice has been investigated for its potent anti-atherosclerotic and hypolipidemic properties. Research conducted at institutions like Guizhou Medical University suggests that the juice modulates lipid metabolism by regulating the PPAR signaling pathway, enhancing LDL receptor expression, and promoting reverse cholesterol transportation. In animal models of diet-induced hyperlipidemia, FRR juice has demonstrated the ability to normalize blood lipid levels, specifically reducing total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), and LDL-C while modulating HDL-C. Proteomic and lipidomic analyses indicate its mechanism involves the regulation of key metabolic enzymes such as CYP7A1 and the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis through fatty acid and steroid biosynthesis pathways.
