Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FS102 is a HER2-targeted Fcab (Fc fragment with antigen binding) developed for the treatment of cancers that overexpress the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). Unlike trastuzumab or pertuzumab, FS102 binds to a unique epitope on HER2 and induces profound internalization and degradation of the receptor. This leads to apoptosis in tumor cells with high levels of HER2 expression. Preclinical studies have shown that FS102 can induce complete tumor regression in patient-derived xenograft models and demonstrates superior activity compared to trastuzumab or its combination with pertuzumab in tumors with high HER2 gene amplification. The drug is being developed by F-star Therapeutics (a subsidiary of invoX Pharma)[1][5][7][3].
