Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FSdC is an investigational fibroblast-based cell therapy being developed by FibroBiologics for the treatment of degenerative disc disease (DDD). The therapy utilizes a proprietary spheroid-based platform, where fibroblasts are cultured into three-dimensional clusters (spheroids) rather than traditional two-dimensional monolayers. This 3D configuration is intended to enhance the regenerative potential and survival of the cells upon administration. Preclinical data reported in early 2026 demonstrated that FSdC treatment led to significant recovery of intervertebral disc height in animal models, suggesting its potential to restore structural integrity to the spine. FSdC is currently in preclinical development, representing a novel biologic approach to addressing the underlying pathology of disc degeneration.
