**FSHR-mediated CAR-T** is an autologous cell therapy involving T cells engineered to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that target the follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR). The chimeric receptor incorporates binding domains derived from the natural ligand (follicle stimulating hormone), enabling specific recognition and killing of FSHR-expressing cells. This therapy primarily targets ovarian cancer, as FSHR is highly expressed on ovarian granulosa cells and many ovarian tumors, with minimal expression elsewhere in healthy adult tissues. Its mechanism allows for targeted cytotoxicity against tumor cells, sparing non-reproductive tissues, with safety and efficacy demonstrated in preclinical models and early-phase clinical trials. The technology is sometimes referred to as chimeric endocrine receptor T-cell (CER-T) therapy, distinguishing it from antibody-derived CAR-T constructs. Current development is led by Anixa Biosciences and collaborators, and the therapy is under investigation in clinical trials for ovarian cancer[1][2][3][5][7][8].
