Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FT002 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by Fovero Therapeutics that targets Galectin-9 (GAL9), an immune-regulating protein. It is specifically engineered to address microsatellite-stable (MSS) colorectal cancer, a condition typically resistant to standard PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitors. FT002 employs a mechanistically distinct approach by reorganizing the immune synapse toward natural activation, thereby reprogramming anti-tumor immunity. In preclinical studies, the antibody has demonstrated the ability to control primary colon tumors and triple-negative breast cancer, while also providing long-term protection against tumor rechallenge.
