Overview

FT500 is an investigational, off-the-shelf allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell immunotherapy derived from a clonal master induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line. Developed as a universal NK cell product, it is designed to be administered to patients without the need for patient-specific customization. Upon administration, the iPSC-derived NK cells bind to stress-induced ligands on tumor cells, leading to tumor cell lysis and release of tumor neoantigens. This mechanism bridges innate and adaptive immunity and has potential to overcome resistance mechanisms associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. The therapy was developed by Fate Therapeutics in collaboration with the University of Minnesota for use in advanced solid tumors and other malignancies[1][2][4][5][8].
