Overview

**FT836** is an investigational, off-the-shelf, induced pluripotent stem cell-derived allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy developed by Fate Therapeutics. The multiplex-engineered cellular product is designed to recognize the conserved alpha3 domain of the stress-induced ligands major histocompatibility complex class I polypeptide-related sequence A and B, enabling cytolytic targeting of malignant cells expressing MICA and MICB. FT836 also incorporates engineered high-affinity non-cleavable CD16 to support antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity when combined with therapeutic antibodies, including daratumumab. The product incorporates multiple genetic-engineering features intended to improve tumor trafficking, persistence, resistance to immunosuppression, and evasion of host alloreactive immune cells. FT836 is in Phase 1 development for advanced solid tumors and is also being evaluated with daratumumab in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
