Overview

FT839 is an investigational, next-generation, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by Fate Therapeutics in collaboration with MacroGenics. It is engineered to target five distinct antigens: CD19, CD20, CD38, BCMA, and GPRC5D. This multi-antigen targeting approach is designed to provide a comprehensive depletion of pathogenic B cells and plasma cells, potentially overcoming antigen escape mechanisms that limit single-target therapies. The product is manufactured using Fate's proprietary iPSC product platform, which allows for the creation of a clonal, master iPSC line that can be used to produce off-the-shelf, scalable cellular immunotherapies. FT839 is currently being evaluated for the treatment of B-cell mediated autoimmune diseases and hematologic malignancies.
