FTC001 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-17A (IL-17A), developed by Shandong Fangtansi Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, primarily psoriasis. By binding specifically to the IL-17A cytokine, FTC001 prevents its interaction with the IL-17 receptor complex, thereby inhibiting the downstream pro-inflammatory signaling pathways that drive the pathogenesis of plaque psoriasis. The drug is formulated as a lyophilized powder for subcutaneous injection. As of 2023, it is undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity in healthy adult subjects.
