Overview

FTL001 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as an agonist of 4-1BB (CD137), a co-stimulatory immune checkpoint molecule belonging to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is designed to activate T cells by binding specifically to the same epitope as the endogenous 4-1BB ligand, thereby simulating natural T cell activation and promoting anti-tumor immunity while aiming to minimize systemic toxicity. Developed by Sound Biopharmaceuticals, FTL001 represents a second-generation approach targeting 4-1BB for immunotherapy in malignant tumors. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors[1][5].
