FTX-001

FTX-001 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD19 antigen, developed by Famicordtx in collaboration with Polski Bank Komórek Macierzystych (PBKM). The manufacturing process involves isolating a patient's T cells and genetically engineering them to express a CAR construct specific for CD19, a protein ubiquitously expressed on B-cell malignancies. Once re-infused into the patient, these engineered T cells recognize and bind to CD19-positive cells, leading to T-cell activation, expansion, and the targeted destruction of cancerous B cells. FTX-001 is primarily being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell neoplasms, such as B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), as part of the Polish CAR-NET initiative.
