Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fu Mai Ning is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily used for the treatment of cardiovascular conditions, specifically cardiac arrhythmias such as premature ventricular contractions and palpitations. The formulation typically consists of several herbal extracts, including *Radix Puerariae* (Kudzu root), *Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae* (Danshen), *Radix Panacis Quinquefolii* (American Ginseng), and *Nardostachys jatamansi*. It is designed to improve myocardial blood flow, reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, and stabilize cardiac rhythm. Pharmacologically, its components are known to modulate cardiac ion channels and exert anti-ischemic effects. It is commonly prescribed in China for patients with coronary heart disease or viral myocarditis presenting with irregular pulses.
