Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fufang Pian is an investigational Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound tablet developed by the Longhua Hospital affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of hemorrhoidal bleeding in patients diagnosed with the TCM syndromes of wind-heat blood stasis and damp-heat downward. As a "Fufang" (compound) preparation, it consists of a mixture of herbal extracts intended to clear heat, cool the blood, and resolve blood stasis to alleviate symptoms of internal or mixed hemorrhoids. The drug has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China (e.g., CTR20180062) to assess its efficacy and safety in reducing rectal bleeding and improving clinical symptoms associated with hemorrhoids.
