Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fufang Yuxingcao oral solution is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound preparation developed and manufactured by Zhejiang Conba Pharmaceutical. It is formulated based on the "wind-heat" pattern theory of TCM and is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and other upper respiratory tract infections. The solution typically contains extracts from five key medicinal herbs: *Houttuynia cordata* (Yuxingcao), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin), *Forsythia suspensa* (Lianqiao), *Lonicera japonica* (Jinyinhua), and *Isatis tinctoria* (Banlangen). These components provide a combination of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral effects. The drug is currently undergoing Phase II clinical trials (e.g., CTR20244962) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-dose regimens in pediatric patients aged 3 to 12 years with acute pharyngitis.
