Overview
Fugan is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) ointment developed by Chengdu Baiter Pharmaceutical for the treatment of subacute eczema. It is specifically indicated for patients exhibiting the damp-heat pattern in TCM diagnosis. The formulation has undergone Phase II clinical testing in China (CTR20132041), where it was evaluated for efficacy and safety in adults with mild to moderate subacute eczema over a 21-day treatment period. Like many TCM preparations, it is a multi-ingredient botanical product designed to alleviate inflammation and itching associated with dermatological conditions by clearing heat and resolving dampness.
