Overview
Fuling Sini Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula traditionally used to treat conditions characterized by Yang exhaustion and fluid retention. It is a modification of the classic Sini Decoction, typically comprising *Poria cocos* (Fuling), *Aconitum carmichaelii* (Fuzi), *Zingiber officinale* (Ganjiang), *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (Gancao), and *Panax ginseng* (Renshen). In modern clinical research, it is being investigated for its potential to treat septic cardiomyopathy and immune paralysis. The formula is hypothesized to promote myocardial repair and modulate immune responses in the context of sepsis-induced heart dysfunction by improving immune paralysis and enhancing cardiac energy metabolism.
