Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fuling Yunhua Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formulation used primarily in China. It is currently being investigated for its efficacy and safety in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, particularly for patients with poor glycemic control after diet and exercise intervention. The granule formulation is administered as part of sequential therapy with other TCM compounds such as Dihuang Baoyuan Granule. While the precise mechanism of action remains unclear, similar TCM formulations containing fuling (Poria cocos) have demonstrated immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and potential antidiabetic effects in preclinical studies. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate its benefits for diabetic complications such as diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy[2][3][4][7].
