Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FULIRI is a chemotherapy combination regimen consisting of irinotecan liposome, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), and leucovorin (folinic acid). It is a modification of the standard FOLFIRI regimen, substituting conventional irinotecan with a liposomal formulation to potentially improve the safety and efficacy profile. In the context of clinical research at Zhongnan Hospital, FULIRI is evaluated in combination with targeted therapies such as bevacizumab (a VEGF inhibitor) or cetuximab (an EGFR inhibitor) as a first-line conversion therapy for patients with colorectal cancer and liver metastases. The regimen aims to achieve high objective response rates to enable surgical resection or other local curative-intent treatments for metastatic disease.
