Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fulyu Baoxin Keli is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule developed by Tonghua Wantong Pharmaceutical for the treatment of cardiovascular conditions. It is primarily indicated for premature ventricular contractions (PVC) and coronary heart disease (CHD), particularly in patients presenting with Qi and Yin deficiency and blood stasis according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The formulation is composed of several herbal ingredients, including Ginseng (人参), Ophiopogon japonicus (麦冬), Schisandra chinensis (五味子), Salvia miltiorrhiza (丹参), Nardostachys jatamansi (甘松), and Sophora flavescens (苦参). Pharmacologically, it exerts anti-arrhythmic effects by modulating cardiac ion channels, specifically inhibiting sodium, potassium, and calcium currents, which helps stabilize the heart rhythm. Additionally, it improves myocardial blood supply and provides antioxidant protection to the heart tissue. It is widely utilized in clinical practice in China to alleviate symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain, and shortness of breath.
