Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Funbact A is a triple-action topical cream developed and marketed by Greenlife Pharmaceuticals. It is a combination product containing three active ingredients: betamethasone (a synthetic corticosteroid), clotrimazole (a broad-spectrum antifungal), and neomycin sulphate (an aminoglycoside antibiotic). Betamethasone provides anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive actions to reduce skin redness and swelling. Clotrimazole acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby treating fungal infections. Neomycin sulphate provides antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis. The cream is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory dermatological conditions complicated by bacterial or fungal infections, such as eczema, psoriasis, and various forms of dermatitis.
