Overview
Fupitavir (also known as YS-H01 or Fubitawei) is a second-generation, potent, and pan-genotypic non-structural protein 5A (NS5A) inhibitor developed by Changzhou Yinsheng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. By targeting the NS5A protein, fupitavir interferes with viral replication and assembly. It is typically evaluated in combination with other direct-acting antivirals (DAAs), such as the NS3/4A protease inhibitor furaprevir, to provide a robust, interferon-free treatment regimen. Clinical trials in China have demonstrated high sustained virologic response (SVR) rates across multiple HCV genotypes, supporting its potential as a key component of all-oral antiviral therapy.
