Overview
Fuqiguben Paste (Fuqi Guben Gao) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Yunnan Institute of Materia Medica. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of kidney yang deficiency syndrome, a condition in TCM characterized by symptoms such as fatigue, cold extremities, and lower back soreness. The formulation is designed to tonify kidney yang and strengthen the body's foundation (Guben). Fuqiguben Paste has undergone Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China (CTR20180871) to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers. As a TCM paste, it is typically applied topically or percutaneously, utilizing a complex mixture of herbal extracts to achieve its therapeutic effects.
