Drug intelligence / Profile preview
furaprevir + yimitasvir + ribavirin is a combination antiviral therapy developed by Dongguan Dongyangguang Taijing Pharmaceutical (HEC Pharm) for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The regimen consists of three active components: furaprevir, a second-generation NS3/4A protease inhibitor; yimitasvir, a potent NS5A inhibitor; and ribavirin, a guanosine analog that acts as a broad-spectrum antiviral. This triple therapy is designed to achieve high sustained virologic response (SVR) rates by targeting multiple stages of the HCV life cycle, thereby increasing the genetic barrier to resistance. It has been primarily evaluated in clinical trials within China, focusing on patients with various HCV genotypes, including those with compensated cirrhosis.
