Drug intelligence / Profile preview
furmonertinib + TT-00973 is an investigational drug combination consisting of furmonertinib (alflutinib), a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and TT-00973, an orally bioavailable dual inhibitor of the AXL and FLT3 receptor tyrosine kinases. Developed through a clinical collaboration between Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals and TransThera Sciences, this combination is designed to treat patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR-sensitizing mutations. The therapeutic rationale is based on targeting AXL upregulation, which is a well-established mechanism of acquired resistance to EGFR-targeted therapies. By simultaneously inhibiting EGFR and AXL signaling pathways, the combination aims to overcome or delay resistance and improve clinical outcomes. A Phase II clinical trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of this combination in EGFR-mutant NSCLC was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in July 2026.
