A *fusion cell vaccine* is a type of therapeutic cancer immunotherapy created by fusing a patient's own (autologous) dendritic cells with their tumor cells. The resulting hybrid cells combine the antigen-presenting capabilities of dendritic cells with the full spectrum of tumor antigens from the patient’s cancer. This approach aims to stimulate a broad and potent anti-tumor immune response by presenting multiple tumor-associated antigens to T-cells in an immunogenic context. Fusion vaccines have been studied in various cancers including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and multiple myeloma. Clinical trials have shown that these vaccines can induce specific T-cell responses against tumors and may improve progression-free and overall survival in some patients[1][2][3][4][5][7]. The mechanism relies on activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes via presentation of tumor antigens by mature antigen-presenting cells.
