Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Futai (transfer factor) is an approved biologic immune modulator developed and manufactured by Jiangxi Gannan Haixin Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Shanghai Haixin Group. It is composed of low-molecular-weight peptides and nucleotides extracted from immune cells, typically derived from porcine or bovine spleen or leukocytes. The product is designed to modulate immune responses by transferring cell-mediated immunity from immune-competent sources to recipients. In the Chinese clinical setting, it is primarily utilized as an adjuvant therapy for patients with immunodeficiency, chronic viral or bacterial infections, and as a supportive treatment for cancer patients to mitigate the immunosuppressive effects of chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
