Fuxintongluo decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, affiliated with Capital Medical University. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), specifically targeting the TCM syndrome of yang deficiency and cold coagulation (阳虚寒凝). The formula is designed to warm the yang, dispel cold, and promote the circulation of blood through the collaterals (tongluo) to alleviate symptoms such as numbness, pain, and cold sensations in the limbs. Clinical evaluation of the decoction has been conducted through exploratory studies to assess its efficacy and safety in improving nerve conduction velocity and clinical symptoms in diabetic patients.
