Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fuyanting is a proprietary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed by Guilin Sanjin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., primarily indicated for the treatment of gynecological infections including bacterial vaginosis, trichomonal vaginitis, and vulvovaginal candidiasis. The formulation is available in several dosage forms, most notably as effervescent tablets for vaginal administration and capsules for oral use. It is composed of multiple herbal extracts, including *Sophora flavescens* (Kushen), *Phellodendron chinense* (Huangbai), *Cnidium monnieri* (Shechuangzi), and *Atractylodes lancea* (Cangzhu), along with mineral components like alum. These ingredients contain active alkaloids such as matrine and berberine, which provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory activities. Fuyanting works by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and modulating the local inflammatory response, thereby restoring the normal vaginal microenvironment.
