Fuyanxiao

Fuyanxiao is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, typically administered as a capsule, used for the treatment of gynecological inflammatory conditions, specifically pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) characterized by damp-heat stasis syndrome. Developed by Dongfang Hospital of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, it is often evaluated as an adjunctive therapy combined with standard antibiotics to improve clinical outcomes and reduce recurrence rates. The formulation is designed according to TCM principles to clear heat, detoxify the body, and promote blood circulation to resolve stasis, thereby addressing the underlying pathology of chronic pelvic inflammation.
