Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fuzheng Jiedu Huatan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation composed of multiple herbs. It is primarily used for its potential to reverse hepatic fibrosis, improve liver function, and treat various conditions including pneumonia in elderly patients and primary liver cancer. The formula acts by regulating multiple biological processes and pathways, targeting hepatic stellate cells to inhibit their viability, thereby mitigating liver fibrosis development. It also shows promise in enhancing immunotherapy efficacy and reducing toxicity in tumor treatment contexts. Mechanistically, the active components target multiple proteins involved in inflammation, fibrosis, and immune regulation networks. The formula has been studied for effects on pneumonia symptom improvement (e.g., expectoration reduction), lesion absorption promotion in lung infections, anti-fibrotic activity against liver cirrhosis and hepatitis B/C infections, as well as antitumor effects against primary liver cancer.
