Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fuzheng Tongfu Jiedu (FZTFJD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) prescription developed for the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction associated with sepsis, particularly Acute Gastrointestinal Injury (AGI) grades I-III. The formulation is based on the therapeutic principles of strengthening body resistance ("Fuzheng"), unblocking the bowels/viscera ("Tongfu"), and detoxification ("Jiedu"). It is administered as an adjunctive therapy alongside conventional Western medicine to improve intestinal barrier function, alleviate gut symptoms, reduce abdominal pressure, and lower systemic inflammation levels. Clinical evaluation focuses on its ability to improve AGI grading and prognostic indicators like ICU stay and 28-day mortality.
