FGFR2b signaling is frequently upregulated in various epithelial-derived tumors, particularly gastric and gastroesophageal cancers, where it promotes cell proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis. FWB19144 is intended to inhibit these oncogenic pathways by binding to the receptor and preventing its activation by ligands such as FGF7, FGF10, and FGF22.
