FX-909

FX-909 is a first-in-class, highly potent and selective covalent small molecule inhibitor of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) transcription factor. It acts as an inverse agonist of PPARG, suppressing cell growth and causing tumor regression in preclinical models of urothelial cancer. FX-909 is being developed by Flare Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced solid malignancies, with a primary focus on advanced urothelial carcinoma (bladder cancer). The drug is administered orally and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary clinical activity in patients with advanced solid tumors.
