Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FX101 is a preclinical-stage small molecule antiretroviral compound developed by Jericho Sciences. It is designed as a CNS-penetrating agent that modulates lipid rafts, caveolin proteins, and caveolar function. By targeting these membrane microdomains, FX101 aims to disrupt the viral life cycle of lentiviruses, including HIV-1, Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV), and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier is intended to address viral reservoirs in the central nervous system that are often poorly reached by standard antiretroviral therapies.
