Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FX11 is a **selective small molecule inhibitor of lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA)**, with a Ki of 8 μM. It is a gossypol derivative shown to block aerobic glycolysis, induce cell cycle arrest, and trigger apoptosis in various cancer cell lines, including neuroblastoma, lymphoma, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. FX11 may also activate pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2), reduce ATP levels, induce oxidative stress, and promote reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, leading to cell death. Its antitumor activity has been demonstrated in preclinical in vitro and in vivo models, especially among tumors with high glycolytic activity or MYC-driven cancers[1][2][3][4].
