Overview

FX301 is a Nav1.7 inhibitor that originated as XEN402 (funapide) from Xenon Pharmaceuticals. Flexion Therapeutics acquired the global rights and developed FX301 as an extended-release thermosensitive hydrogel. It is designed to function as a non-opioid peripheral nerve block for the control of post-operative pain. Following the acquisition of Flexion Therapeutics by Pacira BioSciences in November 2021, the drug's development is continued by Pacira, where it is now known as PCRX301.
