FXB0871 is a preclinical-stage recombinant fusion protein designed for oncology applications. It consists of a PD-1-targeted moiety fused to an interleukin-2 (IL-2) cytokine. The drug is being developed through a joint development agreement between Fosun Pharma and Teva, established in 2025. FXB0871 is engineered to selectively deliver IL-2 signaling to PD-1-expressing T cells, such as tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses while potentially reducing the systemic toxicities typically associated with high-dose IL-2 therapy. Its dual mechanism involves blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory checkpoint and simultaneously activating IL-2 receptor pathways in a targeted manner.
