Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FY26 is an organo-osmium compound and a cancer drug candidate currently in preclinical development. Developed by researchers at the University of Warwick, it functions by disrupting cancer cell metabolism. Preclinical in-vitro tests conducted by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the U.S. National Cancer Institute demonstrated that FY26 was 49 times more potent than cisplatin against cancer cell lines.
