FZD4 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the Frizzled-4 (FZD4) receptor, a member of the Frizzled family of G protein-coupled receptors involved in Wnt signaling. In preclinical research, specifically within bladder cancer models, FZD4 siRNA is used to investigate the role of FZD4 in tumor cell motility, migration, and invasion. By mediating the sequence-specific degradation of FZD4 mRNA, the siRNA reduces FZD4 protein levels, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling pathways that contribute to oncogenic phenotypes. Studies have shown that knockdown of FZD4 via siRNA can significantly decrease the migration ability of human bladder cancer cells, identifying FZD4 as a potential therapeutic target in the context of tumor suppression.
