Overview

**G-CSF mobilized donor lymphocytes** are lymphocyte (T cell, B cell, NK cell) populations collected from donors after administration of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). G-CSF is given to healthy donors to stimulate the release and mobilization of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, as well as various immunocompetent lymphocyte subsets, into peripheral blood. The donation (usually by leukapheresis) contains lymphocytes with altered function and cytokine profiles compared to conventionally collected donor lymphocytes. G-CSF induces shifts toward Th2 immune responses, increases naive and regulatory T cell subsets, and may modulate the risk and severity of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic transplantation. G-CSF-mobilized donor lymphocytes are used in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation settings, particularly for donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) to treat relapse or incomplete engraftment after allogeneic transplant[1][3][4][5].
