Drug intelligence / Profile preview
G004 is a synthetic sulfonylurea compound, a novel derivative containing a bromine atom. It has demonstrated anti-atherosclerosis effects by targeting Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) and activating endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) in ApoE−/− mice. Additionally, G004 improves glucose metabolism in type 2 diabetic rats by increasing insulin secretion and regulating hepatic glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis. It also exhibits inhibitory effects on dyslipidaemia and diabetic nephropathy in db/db mice, and restrains platelet aggregation and contractile activity of aortic smooth muscle. Furthermore, G004 attenuates arterial thrombosis in rabbits.
