Drug intelligence / Profile preview
G0401 is an investigational oncolytic virus therapy being developed by GeneSail Biotech for the treatment of solid tumors. It utilizes a vaccinia virus vector engineered to selectively infect and lyse malignant cells while sparing normal tissue. This oncolytic process is intended to release tumor-associated antigens and provide a pro-inflammatory stimulus, thereby inducing a systemic antitumor immune response. As of early 2024, G0401 is in the preclinical stage of development, representing an earlier-stage candidate in GeneSail's pipeline of vaccinia-based oncolytic agents, following more advanced candidates such as G0306 and G0321.
