G15 is a small molecule GPER-selective antagonist developed by GPER G-1 Development Group, based on discoveries made at the University of New Mexico. It targets the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER), also known as GPR30, a membrane-bound receptor distinct from the classical nuclear estrogen receptors ERα and ERβ. By selectively blocking GPER activity, G15 is being explored for the treatment of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases, fibrosis, and bacterial infections. The therapeutic approach aims to modulate estrogen-related signaling pathways without inducing the feminizing effects associated with classical estrogen receptor modulation.
