Overview

G2 scFv is a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) antibody targeting the Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EphA2). Developed by researchers at Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, it is designed to bind to the ligand-binding cavity of EphA2, blocking the binding of ephrin ligands. EphA2 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is highly expressed in various cancers, including acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and lymphomas, while having limited expression in normal hematopoietic cells. In preclinical studies, G2 scFv has demonstrated the ability to reduce cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in EphA2-positive leukemia and lymphoma cells.
