Drug intelligence / Profile preview
G2535 is an investigational, orally administered purified soy-isoflavone extract used as a cancer-chemoprevention and preclinical antineoplastic agent. It is a naturally derived mixture reported to contain approximately 70.54% genistein, 26.34% daidzein, and 0.31% glycitein, rather than purified genistein alone. In preclinical cancer models, G2535 reduced epidermal growth factor receptor signaling and nuclear factor kappa B activity, modulated tumor-suppressive microRNAs, and attenuated androgen-receptor-associated signaling. A randomized Phase II presurgical study evaluated oral G2535 in urothelial bladder cancer. ([pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3350786/))
