Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**G5-AuNP-Gd-Trastuzumab** is an experimental HER2-targeted bimodal CT/MRI contrast nanoparticle developed for imaging HER2-positive tumors. It consists of a generation-5 polyamidoamine dendrimer containing gold nanoparticles for X-ray computed-tomography contrast, gadolinium chelates for magnetic-resonance contrast, and surface-conjugated trastuzumab for selective binding to human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. In mouse tumor models, intravenous administration enhanced MRI signal and CT contrast in HER2-positive tumors and supported receptor-specific cellular binding and internalization. It is a preclinical imaging construct, not an approved therapeutic or marketed diagnostic product.
