Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GA-1 Anamix Early Years is a specialized medical food designed for the dietary management of glutaric aciduria type I (GA-1) and pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy (PDE). Manufactured by Nutricia North America, it is a lysine-free, low-tryptophan amino acid-based powdered infant formula. It is intended for infants from birth to 12 months and as a supplementary feed for children up to 3 years of age. The formula provides a balanced blend of essential and non-essential amino acids (excluding lysine and with reduced tryptophan), carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. It is further supplemented with long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA and ARA) and prebiotic oligosaccharides to support growth and development while managing the metabolic restrictions required for GA-1 and PDE.
