GA113 is a novel ruthenium(II) complex featuring a bis-amino-phosphine ligand, designed and studied for its anticancer activity, particularly in human malignant melanoma cell lines (A375)[1][3]. It induces apoptosis and disrupts key metabolic pathways within melanoma cells, notably in pantothenate and coenzyme A biosynthesis, the citrate cycle, and amino acid metabolism, leading to favorable cytotoxicity and reduced toxicity compared to conventional agents like cisplatin[1][3].
